Engineering at Jetsetter:

Get in on the ground floor of an exciting start-up, where we seek
innovative solutions to building and scaling a new product. We are
looking for team members that are interested in collaborating on issues
as varied as data modeling/warehousing to feature innovations to
application architecture. We work together to solve tough problems in
order to deliver an enterprise-level e-commerce system and exceptional
user experience. We encourage original thinking and foster self-directed
focus on quality and building for future growth. 

Requirements:

*	5+ years of object-oriented coding experience using either PHP
or J2EE. Working understanding of Zend Framework preferred. 
*	3+ years working with relational database systems; MYSQL
preferred. 
*	Deep understanding of and experience with software design
patterns, UML and common software architectures. 
*	Experience working with Unix like operating systems. 
*	Experience with server configuration and tuning preferable. 
*	Experience developing content management systems, back-end
tools, and reporting. 
*	Must be able to work collaboratively with developers as well as
editorial/creative staff. 
*	Demonstrable understanding and analysis of how users interact
with consumer-facing products. 

Responsibilities:

*	Conceptualize, design and implement core features of
Jetsetter.com alone or with a small team. 
*	Ensure that the site continues to run smoothly and remains
bug-free. 
*	Be on the cutting edge of new technologies and the ways they
will help Jetsetter grow. 
*	Interface with other teams within Jetsetter and Gilt on a daily
basis, including creative and engineering teams. 
*	Assist in development of tools to aid in business analysis,
including reporting and data warehousing. 
*	Develop Jetsetter's administrative controls and content
management system. 

This position reports to our VP of Engineering in our New York offices.
